Working with Latvian Government Curriculum Design Team

In March 2017, Marius worked with Prof Sonia Blandford (and in partnership with the British Council) to deliver a series of 21c curriculum and teaching/learning design seminars. The delegates also loved the opportunity to visit Achievement for All partner schools. As the letter below attests, I think they got a lot out of the project. They were a fabulous bunch: informed, passionate about teaching and learning, and clearly driven to improve education in Latvia- best of luck to the team! Hope we meet again!

Dear Sonia and your team,

Thank you so much for arranging our team’s visit to London and sharing your insights and expertise so generously with us. We were very impressed with how the principles you described to us during our discussion sessions were implemented with great clarity, commitment and skill in the AFA schools we visited.

It was particularly valuable to hear your stories of how important it is to have a shared vision for children as we engaged in this work, and a very clear sense of our theory of change. Our time with you and your team was particularly inspiring because you showed us that positive change is possible, that it can be brought about at a large scale if you have a clear purpose, a skillful and committed team, trust your teachers and schools, and, most importantly, believe in your cause.

Marius, your enthusiasm for what you do and the wealth of experience and big picture thinking you shared with us was certainly contagious:) We will be back for more!

Sonia, please send us some information about the Achievement for All conference on June 14th. We might be able to send some people over.

It was a great pleasure to work with you. Thank you once again for all the hard work you put into making our experience in London unforgettable and highly valuable professionally.

Looking forward to working with you in the future.
